Start pd Script from the menu bar or from Applications.
Select Process New Script from the menu bar,
or Drag and Drop a script PDF file onto the pd Script window.
Select the first page of the script text.
In some cases the script PDF can contain several upfront pages that could generate incorrect scene information and can be skipped.
Depending on the AI model used and the script text, this could take a while. Please be patient.
pd Script will notify when script done.
When complete pd Script will create all the output files in a folder on the Desktop by default.
The folder is named using the original PDF script file with ' - pd Script' added to the folder name. The files exported :
Office ready Spreadsheet breakdowns in Excel and CSV format of :
Scenes
Characters
Locations
FDX formatted script ready for import into Fade In, Final Draft, Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling or other productions workflows.
Script reports of:
Scenes
Characters
Locations
After processing a script it will appear in the top bar menu as the most recent.
To redo the script breakdown, click on the script PDF name and the script will be processed again.
Change the AI Model and redo the script breakdown, using another model, to explore additional insights into the script.
After processing a script the Reports menu item will show the available PDF reports.
Click on the report to view the PDF.
After processing a script the Ask menu items will appear.
Select any Scene ...
or Character...
or Location from the script to ask questions.
Select any Scene, Character or Location from the script to ask a related question.
Once the results are available the PDF report will open and saved in the project export folder.
Ask any question using various AI models.
After processing a script the Utility menu items will appear.
To edit script imports the following option are available:
Merge Characters
Delete Characters
Merge Locations
All reports and documents will be auto generated to reflect changes.
