Playback Design Server

The Playback Design Remote magic relies on the Playback Design Server installed on each remote controlled display device.

Utilising the power of Linux and open source technology it is possible to install the Playback Design Server on several low-cost miniature computers like the Raspberry Pi and use the Playback Design Remote to control the media playback on all connected displays.

We are developing the Playback Design Server as a Content API that can be used in a number of novel ways to create fully customised remote controls for various applications, using standard web protocols.

Currently the Playback Design Server is available for Ubuntu, Debian, Raspbian, and Mint operating systems and will work on almost any hardware capable of video playback.
